About Brighton Able

David BarwoodDavid Barwood Dip COT (HPC - OT 14015)
David has over 20 years experience of working as an O.T. mostly in Social Services and the Voluntary Sector. He ran a Disabled Living Centre for 5 years. David has extensive knowledge of adaptations and equipment solutions. He also has in depth knowledge of disability issues and is an Access Auditor.

David has worked as an independent O.T since early 2005. He has written published articles (Therapy Weekly) He has been a member of the team designing and equipping the Naidex Future lifetimes show house for the last 3 years.

 

Gill BarwoodGill Barwood Dip COT (HPC- OT 14452)
Gill qualified as an O.T in 1986. She has worked predominantly in the health service, mostly in the field of Mental Health, where for 8 years she was a Head O.T. She has also worked in services for older people. Gill's knowledge of both mental health and physical conditions are particularly relevant to working with case management companies.

Gill can take on clients for a one off assessment, as well as working with them to provide a course of rehabilitation. She has experience of working with clients with injuries following trauma, including acquired brain injury. Gill also provides regular rehabilitation with adults with
autism spectrum disorders in a residential setting.
